Ha Giang - Cao Bang - Sapa Tour 11 Days
During this tour, you will be exploring places like Ban Gioc Waterfall, Ba Be Lake, Bac Ha and the market of Coc Ly, the scenery in Ha Giang, and also you will be introduced in the daily life of the Ha Giang ethnic minorities.
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
After arriving at the Noi Bai Airport, someone will pick you up and transport you to your hotel in Hanoi, to check-in and rest. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Ba Be (B, L, D)
We will meet at your hotel and then leave for the Ba Be national park through the province of tea plantation, Thai Nguyen. Upon reaching the town of Giang Tien on our way to Ba Be, we will see a few tea hills. Our trip will stop for lunch at Dinh Hoa, following which, we will continue towards Ba Be lake through the province of Bac Kan. Explore the rural market of Cho Ra, before reaching Pac Ngoi, home of the Tay people, at 4.30. You will have the opportunity to taste delicious traditional Tay delicacies for dinner.. Home stay in stilt house.
Day 3: Boat trip on Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
It is a good chance for early riser to enjoy the very fresh atmosphere with very green forest, river, lake, rice fields... After breakfast, take the boat trip to the Ba Be lake then reach to the Dau Dang waterfall. Have the picnic lunch here with a local family. Then continue the boating trip along the Nang river to get to "Dong Puong" cave. Visit the villages & school of the Tay ethnic people located along the river then back to Pac Ngoi hamlet for relax and dinner. Overnight in home-stay.
Day 4: Bac Kan - Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L)
Early morning rise for a stroll at the local market to experience local trading habits. Have breakfast and then take a ride to Ban Gioc to see the waterfalls. The Ban Gioc waterfall is situated to the north of Cao Bang, close to the border with China. This amazingly scenic cascading waterfall spans 300 meters wide and has a height of 53 meters. During the trip you will eenjoy the unique scenery; formations of limestone karts climb from the blooming rice fields of the local peoples’ farms. Return to Cao Bang for overnight.
Day 5: Cao Bang - Ha Giang (B, L)
Take your breakfast before our driver picks you up for a trip to Ha Giang. Enjoy the amazing scenery as we drive along the mountain side. We will be visiting Meo Vac and meet the local White H’Mong, Lo Lo and Tay in their local marketplace. Your trip will continue towards the Lo Lo minority’s nearby village.. Overnight in Ha Giang.
Day 6: Ha Giang - Dong Van (B, L)
Following breakfast, today’s program includes visiting the some of the most scenic villages in Vietnam’s northern tip: the small communities of Yen Minh, Quan Ba and Dong Van. Enjoy the breathtaking background of the huge mountain range of limestone and the endless rocky walls. Next up is a visit to the famous Vuong Palace, which used to house a an eminent H’mong family in the age of the French colonial occupation. The palace combines Chines and European styles in an unusual way, rendering a favorite destination for visitors with an interest in architecture. You will then continue towards the town of Dong Van, where you will be shown its alluring Old Streets next to the market. Following lunch, a picturesque road will lead you to the Pass of Ma Pi Leng, which offers a scenic overview of the Nho Que River. If you are lucky enough, you will witness one of northeast’s spectacular sunsets..
Day 7: Dong Van - Hoang Su Phi (B, L)
On this day you will start early and drive towards to the Nam Hong village, where the ethnic minority of the Red Dzao reside. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular scenery of valleys and distant mountains in the background, as well as fields of rice. You will join a local family for lunch. Next, you will resume your journey towards Pan Hou and then Ha Giang, with the road leading you through breathtaking mountain sites and background
Day 8: Hoang Su Phi - Bac Ha (B, L)
Today’s destination is to Bac Ha town, where you will get to enjoy meeting many people of the hill-tribes in their local market. The Bac Ha market is the most graphic in North Vietnam. It is a unique opportunity to try the local people’s plain but unique food, including wine made from corn, cassavas and rice, and fruit such as peaches, plumps and apples, while talking with the locals with the help of our guide. Later, in the afternoon, you will take a stroll to Thai Giang Pho Village of the Nung and the H’mong. You will visit a school and then follow the path at the side of Bac Ha’s tallest mountain amongst striking gardens. Finally you will visit H’mong King’s palace, built in 1921.. Overnight in Bac Ha town.
Day 9: Bac Ha Town - Ham Rong - Cat Cat Village (B, L)
Following breakfast, we will drive you to Sapa town. You will then take a short walk to the Cat Cat village, home of the H’mong people in the valley, which remains largely untouched from the outside world. You will enjoy the amazing valley view with the striking limestone and the H’mong village’s paddy fields. Meet the locals and learn about their habits. After passing the village, you will reach the Cat Cat waterfall. The waterfall resembles a “White Curtain” cascade, in the midst of the plump valley and the green pine trees. You will have the opportunity to take amazing photos and enjoy the sun, should the weather permits it, at the rocks by the waterfall and the river…Overnight in Sapa.
Day 10: Coc Ly Market - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B, L)
On this day we will guide you to Coc Ly market, which is located away from Sapa. You will experience how 6 distinct minorities live peacefully there. In the local market, the local minorities meet to socialize and exchange their experiences, joys and sorrows after the crops. You will leave the market behind and board a boat down the Chay River. Prepare to be surprised and humbled by the breathtaking waterfalls and the high rocky mountains. The boat will take you to visit a Tay village by the river. Finally, you will return to Lao Cai and then to Hanoi by night train. Overnight on night train.
Day 11: Arrival Hanoi
You will reach Hanoi in early morning, around 5.30am. We will have a car and a guide waiting to pick you up and take you to your hotel.
