North East Vietnam Expedition Tour 8 Days
This journey takes us through some of the remote areas in the northeast of Vietnam. Bright markets, social differences and the special landscapes make this a remarkable experience.
Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai - Bac Ha (B, L, D)
Bac Ha is located in a region of breathtaking beauty, known for its colorful Sunday market. Upon our arrival in Lao Cai railway station in the early morning, we drive to Bac Ha town (70 km by car).
We take off for some investigation of the township. In the early afternoon we finish the trail winding the small tribal settlement of Tay and plum plantations and afterward continue due north over hillocks and verdant farmland. When we have completed our trek we are the visitors of a Flower H'mong family in Lung Phing town.
Day 2: Bac Ha - Viet Quang (B, L, D)
From the Lung Phing we take a 2-hour trek to Can Cau Market. It is an outdoors conventional business sector on Saturdays. We find a percentage of the region's finest landscape set apart by emotional rice patios and slope tribal towns scattered along the way.
It is the best time for valuing the business sector. This is trailed by a drive to the downtown of Viet Quang for an overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 3: Viet Quang - Ha Giang - Quan Ba (B, L, D)
Ha Giang is a standout amongst the most remote territories in North East Vietnam. The range is home to some of Vietnam's most vivid slope tribe minorities. We arrive in Ha Giang for lunch. In the early afternoon, we travel north of Ha Giang to Quan Ba District.
The territory is populated by Dao ethnic individuals and circled by genuinely marvelous remote forested mountains. We join a long, however delicate trek (around 3 hours) with a chance to stay with a Dao family.
Day 4: Quan Ba / Bao Lac (B, L, D)
The excellence of the surroundings entices us to follow the tough trail setting off through verdant hills and tangled wilderness development. In the end, the trail arrives at a little town roosted close-by the township of Quan Ba. From that point we board our vehicle and advance toward Bao Lac for an overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 5: Bao Lac - Cao Bang (B, L, D)
We take to the street again for a 90 km drive, arriving in Cao Bang around lunch time. Toward the evening we go to Tra Linh, a territory far removed from everything industrial and loud. We trek up to some Tay customary towns on the lofty slants.
We discover one of the few spots in Vietnam that are honored with one of kind landscapes including inconceivable mountain edifices and fantastic valleys. The night will be spent in a hotel in Cao Bang town.
Day 6: Cao Bang - Ba Be (B, L, D)
Around 150 km east of Cao Bang, we leave Cao Bang at 8 am and set out on a route up into mountain ranges onwards to Ba Be Lake National Park. This is one of the biggest regular lakes in Vietnam, home to numerous sorts of birds, grand valleys, towering rocky outcrops, underground stream tributaries, and a tremendous cave.
The greater part of the towns in the recreation center is not inexorably ethnic Tay. Those found high up on the slope are possessed by Green H'mong and Red Dao hill tribal individuals.
Taking after an unwinding vessel trip and a climb along the riverfront, we stay overnight with a Tay family in a traditional house.
Day 7: Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
The day starts with a morning climb in the recreation center. Later, we slide into the beautiful valley, home to the Tay minority individuals and surrounded by rock arrangements. We cross the rolling hills and pass H'mong and Red Dao towns.
The view is uncommon, with rural farmland and tough mountains extending out of the tangled wilderness development. After a short vessel trip along the lake, we end our day in the recreation center's home office, where we spend the night at a comfortable guesthouse.
Day 8: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B, L)
We visit the flourishing, nearby market of Chu and the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups in Thai Nguyen territory on our way back to Hanoi. Following lunch in a nearby eatery, it is our drive back to Hanoi, landing there at around 5pm.
